Sewing machine update!

The machine is running PERFECTLY! It has never been so smooth! I LOVE it! However, the lightbulb burnt out, and when I was taking it out it broke off. I couldn't get the metal part out -- even with a screw driver. I had to take part of the casing off, then unscrew some impossible screw. Then I broke the heat resistant cover off. Dang it you dastardy machine!!! After all I've done for you! I'm not going to replace that cover -- it will have to stay attached by the 3 screws that I took off (instead of 6). So, the real question is -- how many marthas does it take to change a lightbulb? Well, the answer is, of course, only one, but she will somehow screw it up, and say some unladylike words along the way.
I expect that this was my punishment for not doing my long range school plans today, like I was going to.......
Thanks for listening to my rant!

Don't you feel like you should just go have a tea, and start again tomorrow.

oh, no! that is horrible! An electrian friend told me once the safest way to remove a broke bulb is to get a cut carot and stick it into the broken end of the bulb. You then use the carrot like a screwdriver and twist it out. I am so sorry to hear you are going through more sewing machine hell. I hope it ends soon. : D

Glad the machine is running smoothly. Just belly up a lamp to the machine.
