I took the knit-up down -- it was looking a bit tired. I was feeling a bit possessive about "my" pole (what if someone comes along and puts an ad on it? Yikes, better get out there right away and re-claim my space!). So I had to make some art to put up. I covered a piece of bristol board with acrylic paint (to seal it) and then rubber stamped a few images and a message. Then I taped it to the pole and hoped for the best. I put it up on Sunday, but the camera battery was dead so I couldn't photograph it until Tuesday (today). And it poured rain all day today. I don't know if you can see, but it is a bit puffy. There is a lot of water between the sign and the post. So it's all squishy. We'll see how long it lasts out in the elements. I have more too (different words, different colours) but I can't decide if I want to put them up around the city, or just save them for my pole. My pole. LOL.
Oh, and just to let you know -- I really am happy to share my pole with anyone who wants to share the space. Just in case you can't find a pole of your own. Like, in case all of the other poles in the neighbourhood are full of posters and art, I won't complain if you want to share mine.......

Martha, you are so clever, what a great idea. I just love your artsy pole.

Your pole may be puffy but it is also beautiful ! I would share my pole with you any time too. When I get myself a pole that is !
Nice work Martha !
Happy Pole Dancing !;-)
I loved your knitted bit, but it was getting a bit warm, so the new look is good. I have so many staples on my pole, I'll have to pick a good day to remove them before I create something. Thanks for the inspiration. as long as you're not dancing around the pole it's all good. I do hear pole dancing is wonderful excercize.
Martha... I love that you do this.. how far is "YOur" pole from your house?

Your pole should be dancing with joy that you have claimed and decorated it (pole dancing?).
so wonderful, i love this and hope to see it live and in person one day soon!
ah! It's almost like it's spring outfit. And I DO know bout pole possession. It becomes YOUR pole. And people do walk by to see what is there this week, so keep on it. You could try covering the whole thing with clear sticky.
It may have rained, but it still looks fabulous.
Great idea Martha, it looks awesome. Thanks for the inspiration, I'm sharing it with my neighborhood, there are messages we need to put out sometimes...

Fantastic pole art Martha... shame the knits get a bit saggy with the rain!
I'm sure people are smiling as they pass by "your" pole.
